Vincent Lamar Wilfork was born on Nov 4th, 1981 in Boynton Beach Florida. Attended Santaluces High in Lantana Florida. He was regarded as one of Florida�s top three defensive linemen after the 1999 season. Vince then went to the University of Miami. As a junior in 2003 he an All-American Dream Team selection and rated the best defensive tackle in the country by The NFL Draft Report. Vince was a unanimous All-Big East Conference first-team choice and started all year at strong-side defensive tackle in 2003. He finished fourth on the team with 64 tackles, 31 solo. Wilfork also lettered in track, finishing second in the state in the Class 6A shot put and discus. He had majored in liberal arts. Vince Wilfork was drafted by the New England Patriots in the first round (21st overall) of the 2004 NFL Draft. He was signed on July, 19th 2004. He played in all 16 games plus 3 playoff games as a rookie with six starts at nose tackle including Super Bowl XXXIX. Vince Wilfork is only on his 2nd year with the patriots and is doing very well and will hopefully continue that way.
