Kevin Troy Faulk was born on June 5th, 1976 in Lafayette, Louisiana to Gerald and vivian Faulk. He attended Carencro High. Named class 5A Offensive Most Valuable Player two years in a row. Rushed for 4,877 yards on 603 carries and 62 touchdowns in his 4 years at high school. Faulk went to Louisiana State. Kevin ranks fifth in NCAA history with 6,833 all purpose yards and 53 total touchdowns. He holds the school record with 4,557 rushing yards, 6,833 all-purpose yards, 53 total touchdowns, 46 rushing touchdowns, and 318 points. He is the only player in school history to rush over 1,000 yards in a season, three times. Kevin Faulk was drafted by the Patriots in the second round (46th overall) of the 1999 NFL Draft. His first season he was placed on injured reserved on December 19th. In Super Bowl XXXVIII against the Panthers he had six carries for 42 yards and four catches for 19 yards. His best play of the night was on a two point conversion where he took a direct snap and ran it into the endzone, giving the Pats a seven point lead with 2:51 seconds left in the game. Kevin ranks as the Patriots all-time kickoff return leader with 3,507 yards.
